Emma and Nick | Holy Trinity Berrima, Centennial Vineyards, Bowral
I have said before, I have a real love for Friday weddings. I’m sure deciding to hold my own wedding on a Friday has something to do with my love affair with the day, but there is also something …. magical about it. A long weekend is loved by all anyway, but starting one on a Friday, in such a happy and joyous way, and having the WHOLE weekend to recover, it just makes for a great party!
I arrived at the Mother of the Bride, Sue’s home, on Friday afternoon on the most perfect warm spring day. Sue, a dear family friend, and a wonderful celebrant in her own right, was as cool as a cucumber in the weeks leading up to the big day - she has been a part of local Southern Highlands Weddings since, forever, and was relaxed about all that needed to be done. By the time I got to the house, hair and makeup was finished, and the ladies all started to get dressed one by one. I remember commenting on how calm and peaceful it was!
At the church, the guests started arriving one by one and the anticipation was building. There was so much excitement amongst everyone, with warm friendly smiles everywhere I looked. The building itself was just gorgeous, cosy and quaint, and just the right size to fit everyone in perfectly. I’ve never seen a bride walk down the isle with a bigger smile on her face, Emma’s eyes lit up when she saw Nick waiting for her at the end of the alter. The ceremony was perfect in every way, and after a wonderful walk through a tunnel of bubbles afterwards, it was off to the beautiful Harpers Mansion for some quick pics (especially requested because Emma’s dad designed and built the gardens and show stopping maze), and then to Centennial Vineyards for some more quick snaps and a magnificent party full of love.
Take a look through some of the images from their special day. Huge congratulations Emma and Nick, may every year together bring you even more love and laughter xxx
