Kaitlyn and Scott | Sylvan Glen, Southern Highlands
I first met Kaitlyn and Scott several months ago. They were living the horror of having a wedding photographer, which they had booked, just disappear on them! (As an aside, this is a story I've heard from wedding couples more than once, and each and every time makes my tummy squirm with panic). I instantly adored them both ... They were softly spoken, and seemed so very kind. There was nothing pretentious about their plans for their wedding day. They were forgoing formal speeches and cake cutting, and throwing away a rigid time sheet. Instead, they wanted to make their guests feel relaxed and welcome, and for them to not be pressured or rushed into pre-organised wedding activities. They also wanted to spend time together on the day ... A huge bonus for me as we were allowing plenty of time for photo's and just taking time out for them to walk and talk and enjoy the afternoon.
They were married at one of my favourite Southern Highlands venues, Sylvan Glen. Located at the very south of the region, in forest-y Wingello, this gorgeous property never fails to create the calmest wedding morning! It is so so quiet, the guests can play a round of golf, whilst the girls get ready one by one in the little hair and makeup van. I got to finally meet the gorgeous Emma McGill, who's name I see popping up everywhere being recommended for wedding hair and makeup ... In this little corner of the world, it's never long before all of us get to eventually meet one an other! The ceremony was short and sweet, and the afternoon sun warmed the Winter air perfectly as it slowly sunk towards the horizon. We only went inside to join the party when the light eventually left us.
Take a look through at a sneak peak of some of the images from the day ... I hope you enjoy them as much as I did capturing them :)
